If you are considering becoming a member of Mensa, here are three simple steps to help you through the process:

Take An IQ Test

Mensa administers admission tests every month at hundreds of local test centers throughout the country. If you score in the top 2% on the admission test, you will be invited to join Mensa.

Prior Tests

If you have previously taken a standardized intelligence test and scored in the top 2%, you may submit your prior test score for consideration for admission. Mensa accepts over 200 different tests as prior evidence. For more information on submitting a previous test, please visit the American Mensa website.

Fill Out An Application

Admission applications can be obtained online or at the American Mensa National Office listed above. A nominal, one time application fee is also required.

Join Mensa!

After your application has been processed, you will receive an annual enrollment form. Return this enrollment form with your annual membership fee and you have completed the last step in becoming a member of Mensa!

Annual membership rates are about $59 per member, although discounted rates for family, multi-year, and life memberships are available.
